Joint-by-joint measurement for UR e-Series arms – remote, per job
EXOS\-LINK measures a Universal Robots e\-Series arm joint by joint, from the robot's own motor data\. A fixed test programme, generated for your cell, moves one joint at a time within an agreed range, while a recorder on a laptop next to the robot reads the controller's standard data interface \(RTDE\)\. Nothing is installed on the robot controller, and the recorder never commands motion\.
What you get
\- A protocol per run: a current\-based friction indicator per joint and speed, and the variation between runs\.
\- A reference recording that a later run can be compared with – for example at handover, after a service visit or at return – with the same programme, the same software version and comparable conditions\.
\- A short written summary of what the numbers can and cannot support\.
How it works
\- Your engineer runs the programme from the teach pendant and decides at the robot, in line with your own risk assessment\. I support remotely and analyse the recordings\.
\- The price is set per job in the negotiation\. Scope depends on the robot, the number of runs and whether there is an earlier recording to compare with\.
Status and limits
\- The method has run end to end in Universal Robots' simulator \(URSim 5\.26\.1, UR5e and UR10e\)\. The first sessions on a physical robot are planned for November 2026; until then this is an early\-access offer\.
\- Currently for UR e\-Series with PolyScope 5\.
\- It documents measured values\. It is not a wear diagnosis, a certification or a safety assessment, and it does not predict remaining life\.
\- Based in Europe \(Central European Time\)\. The location shown is a placeholder: the location field currently only accepts places in the US\.
